WINNER UPDATE: Patricia Vonne Has Packed Fall Tour Schedule

Session I 2009 Latin winner Patricia Vonne is no newcomer to the music scene; she released her first album eight years ago. Since then, Vonne has dropped three additional albums: “Guitars and Castanets,” “Firebird,” and “Worth It.” Since she first started writing music, newspapers and magazines have been quick to give her glowing reviews. Publications such as The Austin Chronicle, The Houston Press, and The Sun rave about this Texan songstress, claiming that she has “talent to melt the coldest heart.”

Vonne cites her upbringing as one of her sources of inspiration. One of ten children, she grew up in San Antonio in a bilingual household. Her mother’s past-time of singing to her children in Spanish no doubt helped shape Vonne’s current interest in Latin-styled music. Her older siblings helped to nurture her musical tastes; her elder brother, director Robert Rodriguez, often collaborates on her songwriting, leading to tracks that have been featured in films such as “Once Upon a Time in Mexico.”

Like many people in the creative community, Vonne’s artistic interests are not limited to just music. In previous years, she has tried her hand at acting, landing roles in films such as “Sin City” and “Spy Kids.” However, in between the occasional movie, she leaves plenty of time in her schedule for touring. This fall, she will perform not only in the United States, but around Europe as well.
