WINNER UPDATE: Generation Letter to Celebrate Album Release in August

It takes a very talented songwriter to win the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, so it is clear that Generation Letter, a Christian Rock band, has more than enough talent to go around. They were named the Gospel/Inspirational Grand Prize Winners in back-to-back years for their songs “Jesus My Glory” (Session I 2008) and “Glorious” (Session II 2009).

The band, based in Orlando, FL, consists of George Romanacce, John Ripley, Alex Couch, and Stephen Morgan. All four members have a hand in writing each song, ensuring that every composition incorporates several different viewpoints on the given topic and helping the band continue with their goal of producing music that “glorifies the Savior, offers the world biblically sound lyrics and delivers them with unmatched musical creativity.” Their devotion to their craft has earned them recognition across the country; in addition to their success in the JLSC, Generation Letter has won several national talent searches and has been the featured band at various music festivals in Florida.

After working tirelessly to perfect their tracks, Generation Letter released their highly anticipated album, “This is The Story,” in early June 2010. The official release party for the record will take place on August 7th at the Calvary Assembly of God in Winter Park, FL.

If you think your Gospel/Inspirational song could be the next JLSC winner, be sure to enter it into Session II of the 2010 contest.
